THE MARQUE
Helping you attract and retain employees with one marque.
The Made Equal inclusivity campaign works to transform the image of British industry to diverse communities. It also aims to make all employees feel more included.
The idea for an employer marque was developed by Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire following feedback from members at a manifesto for Britain workshop. This workshop was held in 2017 to discuss the ten pillars of the government industrial strategy, in addition to submitting our ideas to Westminster, we developed a number of community-based concepts. Originally stemming from concerns of a skills shortage, Brexit uncertainty, aging workforce the team developed member ideas into a practical solution to help drive productivity through people via an inclusivity campaign.
We teamed up with leading training providers to develop a comprehensive toolkit and series of workshops and events to help give the manufacturing sector access to enough talent and knowledge that they can implement best practice into their businesses quickly.
Companies initially take a pledge to complete an inclusivity journey and can display a committed to inclusivity logo on their website and marketing material, after six months and completion of our workshops the business is accredited with the full marque.
